Environmental Variables (America) (1999)

• The hotel room where I stayed for my first week in the country (Feb 1999), in downtown Costa Mesa. It is not for nought that the locals call it Costa Misery...
• The grand entrance to my apartment (and most of the apartment itself, in the process). Highlights include: my stapler, my bowl of apples, my Map Of Australia tablecloth, my beach chair on the patio, and in the lower right corner the Not-Originally-So-Impossible-To-Shut bottom drawer of my filing cabinet.
• My kitchen, featuring my microwave, my fridge, my stovetop, and my serious lack of paper storage space.
• Not for the fainthearted: My bathroom.

• Return visit to America (July 2006): three studies of "The Shed" (the TLG archives, the small room containing the totality of Greek literature)
